SUCCESS IN ACHIEVING YOUR HEALTH & FITNESS GOALS
We are well into 2017 and past the surge of resolutions and promises. This is a perfect time to evaluate your health and fitness goals, both short and long term, and take steps to be successful in achieving those goals. You’ve taken the step to commit to working on your fitness at CrossFit Fresno and we don’t take that lightly. Our commitment to you is to provide a safe and supportive environment with a like-minded community of athletes and coaches that help push you to become the best version of yourself.
For all of us, there comes a time when dedication and hard work begins to fade. This is when having predetermined goals to review is critical. So you are reminded of what you are working toward and why. These goals should always be S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.)
You won’t be set up for success with abstract goals or goals that can not be measured. The goals should also be realistic and attainable to provide you a mental “win” after reaching them. Provide yourself short term and longer term goals for timely successes along the way.
Perhaps the most important element of the S.M.A.R.T. acronym is Attainable. Setting ambitious goals can be motivating in itself but if you don’t have the time, dedication and resources to do what is needed to achieve those goals, you are not setting yourself up for success.
When you identify what goals are important to you, a plan can be developed to achieve those goals. Let your coaches at CrossFit Fresno know what your goals are so we can help to create a plan for achieving your fitness goals and help to keep you accountable. We would venture to say that any of your goals can be successfully achieved when the correct steps are in place to achieve those goals and an appropriate time frame is established to carry out those steps.
